JOLI CANARD is perfect 'home away from home' for a boots and paws stay— just steps from the village church with underfloor heating for the dog and a quiet enclosed garden. Not to mention, a super-king bed for the perfect nights sleep 

Spend the morning at the Table d’Orientation for those 360° views. This area is steeped in history, sitting on the old border of the Périgord and Limousin regions. The walking trails here are incredibly peaceful, and right on the doorstep - no need for a car.

The village has everything you need: a proper charcuterie, ‘Ma Charcuterie Badefolaise’ grillons are a must buy  , a Proxi, which is perfect for a quick drink at the bar for a post-hike refreshment, plus there are two restaurants….

The Market & Food Plan: Sarlat Market: Saturday for the big one, or Wednesday for a quieter stroll. The Covered Market is open daily (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM). Local Markets: Hautefort (Wednesday), and Excideuil (Thursday). Thenon ( Tuesday) Objat (Sunday) 

Eating Out: Here in Badefols d'ans you are spoilt for choice! 

 L’Estaminet a small and intimate restaurant is worth visiting. L’Auberge des Tilleuls is our favourite ️ , you’ll find the perfect setting, authentic and well cooked dishes with an excellent host, your evening will pass by in a flash and you will be already planning your return!

A little further afield in Hautefort, Le Troubadour serves an excellent lunch. 

After some days like this on repeat….you will be recharged
